Configure Codex to use the gateway with the Responses API.

Use a public model alias from the Models page. Do not store the plaintext key in configuration files.

Verify

After configuration, run Codex normally. With a correct configuration the reply is returned and the request appears under Dashboard → Usage.

Common errors

Missing key: check QUOBIT_API_KEY.
Invalid model: use a public model alias enabled for your account.
Invalid base URL or config: check that base_url points to the gateway and wire_api = "responses".
